HAIR COLOR IN MIAMI

Now that I live in Miami my focus is to achieve as natural a blond as possible. No, not for me, the blond will be for my clients. Be it the first time to color or a seasoned color client, the health of your hair should come first, then the desired color. If you want an all-natural glaze, a vibrant gloss or highlights, the end result should be hair that shines, does not fade quickly and enhances your strongest assets. At the top of my list is the importance of offering clients flexibility in my approach as a colorist.

A Subtle Approach

Colorshines (cellophanes) by Sebastian, one of my favorite old school brands, is always a must have glaze for the summer.

Honestly, there are few products on the market like it. This product gives you amazing shine, sparkling tone and is wonderfully safe. Whether you are 11 or 80 years old, have virgin hair or are a platinum blond; it comes in clear reds, browns and gold tones, has no ammonia or peroxide and it's a very quick service. It's simply applied to clean, towel dried hair, a quick sit under the dryer for 20 minutes then rinse.

Another advantage with Colorshines is it's translucency, giving your color the subtlest dimension and you can do it again after 10 shampoos without build up or a root line. Well, what are you waiting for?

Take It Up A Notch

This is where Loreal enters the picture. I'm specifically talking about two of their semi-permanent colors that I love! The first is Richesse

and the second is Dia Color.

Having worked with Wella for so many years (and I do still love it), lately I’ve been having fun switching it up a bit.

These two glosses keep color fresh, sexy and vibrant and are a "must try" for the summer. Great for virgin hair to add an over all sparkle, or to enhance brunette or blonde alike, there is no ammonia and little peroxide, but it's still a color commitment and does have some chemical.

A Real Commitment

Baliage is one of my favorite things to do. Not only is it great for first time clients who want a real burst of color, it's a great way to have hair color that compliments the beach style and culture expected here in South Florida. Knowing techniques like baliage really help me stay fashionably flexible with hair color. Now, with my new fabulous Femme Salon view of the beach, I'm inspired, seeing loads of potential blonds and blonds who’d greatly benefit from some strokes of the baliage brush.

Hair color is so much fun! Be adventurous but be smart and worry about the results last. It may seem a little counter intuitive, but maintaining the health and quality of your hair must be our first concern…then comes the fun!

Count me in!

Antonio Gonzales.
